Our Story
A Family Dream, Now Lunenburg's Favorite Table
In 2005, what started as one family's dream became the heartbeat of Lunenburg dining. Our founders brought with them recipes passed down through three generations — from abuela's kitchen in Mexico to the sizzling skillets of Massachusetts Avenue.
Every morning, our kitchen comes alive with the aromas of handmade moles, slow-simmered for hours until they reach the perfect depth of flavor. Our fire-roasted salsas are made fresh daily from tomatoes, jalapeños, and cilantro. And our tortillas? Rolled by hand, the way they've been made for centuries.
Our Philosophy
Treat every guest like family. That's not just a slogan — it's the standard we hold ourselves to every single day. Whether you're grabbing lunch on a Tuesday, celebrating a birthday on Saturday night, or just stopping by for our famous margaritas after a long day — you're home at Ixtapa.
Growing With Lunenburg
Over 20 years, we've become more than a restaurant. We've become a gathering place for the community. We've watched kids grow up eating our quesadillas and come back as adults with their own families. We've catered weddings, graduation parties, and company events. And through it all, our commitment has never wavered: fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and generous portions that make sure nobody leaves hungry.

"The Mexicali chimichanga should be illegal because it's too tasty. We drive 30 minutes just for this place."

"Never a long wait, service is friendly, and the margs are great! Perfect spot for family dinner night."
